About Nick

I am a partner at Padway & Padway Ltd. and have been a practicing attorney since 1975.  I have extensive civil and criminal litigation experience, including first degree homicide cases, personal injury, products liability, divorce, commercial and real estate trials.  I have successfully argued and presented cases before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin State Supreme Court.  I have experience representing both labor and management, which provides me with a unique perspective on labor, employment and management issues.  I  represent many small to medium size businesses in multiple areas, including commercial and real estate transactions.  I believe that hard work, open communication and an honest assessment of the case leads to the best results for my clients. I  empower my clients to make informed decisions through clear and knowledgeable communication. I take great pride in my work and endeavor to provide the best possible legal representation for all my clients. Since a client places his or her trust in my abilities, I utilize my best efforts on their behalf.

My wife Janet and I have four children. In addition to my  law practice, I currently serve as the Chairman of the North Shore Fire Commission.  I was appointed to the City of Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission, serving as the Chairperson for that commission for four years.  I have in the past and continue to provide extensive volunteer service in a number of capacities.  I am currently a member of the board of directors for the Milwaukee Survive Alive Foundation and a member of the Milwaukee Fire Bell Club, an organization supporting local fire departments.  For many years I participated on the Milwaukee Winter Club Youth Hockey Board of Directors and coordinated the Coaches Committee.  I coached youth hockey for 20 years and officiated both youth and high school hockey.  I feel that it is a privilege to assist in the development of the young people in my community.
