Attorney Ethan M. Padway’s focuses his practice on the individual needs of his clients in Business Law, Criminal Law, Family Law, and Trusts and Estates. He jumped at the chance to work with his family, joining Padway & Padway, Ltd. (link to contact page) immediately after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School. A third generation Badger Lawyer, Ethan was excited to follow the footsteps of his father and his grandfather at the firm.

Through his father and grandfather, Ethan saw the positive impact a good lawyer can have on their clients. He incorporates that in his practice, cultivating strong relationships with his clients to best serve them and meet their individual needs.

In Law School, Ethan participated in the Wisconsin Innocence Project, working to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals, seeing firsthand how perseverance pays off in the legal field. He spent his second summer interning at the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office in Racine, where he got his first taste of courtroom experience. Ethan also served as Competitions Chair of the Moot Court Board. 

Prior to law school, Ethan earned his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. In school, he covered Kansas Athletics for the student newspaper. Before choosing to go to law school, he worked for a newspaper in northeast Kansas covering college and high school athletics, where he would win awards for his sports writing and sports photography.

Outside of his practice, Ethan enjoys playing hockey and golf. He’s an avid sports fan, following the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, Packers, and of course the Kansas Jayhawks.
