First Degree Intentional Homicide:  Whoever causes the death of another human being with the intent to kill that person, or another.  This is a Class A felony.

Second Degree Intentional Homicide: Whoever causes the death of another human being with intent to kill that person or another.  This is a class B felony if the prosecution fails to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that certain mitigating circumstances did not exist such as adequate provocation, unnecessary defensive force, prevention of felony, coercion, necessity.

First Degree Reckless Homicide: Whoever recklessly causes the death of another human being under circumstances which show an utter disregard for human life.  This is a Class B felony.

Second Degree Reckless Homicide: Whoever causes the death of another human being.  This is a class D felony.  This requires the creation of an objectively unreasonable and substantial risk of human death or great bodily harm and the actor’s subjective awareness of that risk.

Felony Murder:  Whoever causes the death of another human being while committing or attempting to commit certain felony offenses.  This person may be imprisoned for not more than 15 years in excess of the maximum term of imprisonment provided by law for the underlying crime or attempted crime.

Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle: Whoever causes the death of another by the operation or handling of a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant.  This is a Class D felony.

Homicide by Intoxicated use of a Firearm:  Whoever causes the death of another by the operation or handling of a firearm or air gun while under the influence of an intoxicant.  This is a class D felony.
